An appreciation site was developed in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1 as a resource for the unique sneaker connoisseur audience. The 1Thology grid encompasses every AF-1 made since 1982. Staying true to its culture the project has no traditional marketing/advertising.

An Advanced Search function is present where users can sort through the colors, parts, and styles of 800+ shoes. A resulting dataset generates a new grid of AF-1s under the searched criteria.

Each Nike AF-1 has its own profile page containing a general production description/detailed product breakdown. Users have the ability to add the shoe to their own online collection, nominate it as shoe of the month, submit their own story of what the shoe means to them and submit missing shoe details for those rare models.

 

 

Embed code is available on each profile page for a user to blog an AF-1 in their own personal webspaces.

Each AF-1 can be added to a user’s online collection. Users can send their collection to their mobile or grab the content as a widget to display on their own web/community spaces as see below:

The video gallery section of the site contains a documentary series on the the AF-1 along with the top 100. DJ Premier’s ‘Classic’ featuring Rakim, Kanye West, Nas, and KRS-ONE is also premiered on the site.

Users can create and customize their own posters within the AF-1 1Print section. The posters are available for sale and are printed on high quality paper.

1Vote allows users to nominate the top AF-1s for Baltimore, Philly, and New York — the core birthplaces of the AF-1. The top voted AF-1 for each location will be re-released in a limited quantity for that city. Voting can also take place in select store kiosks.
